I will be blogging backwards starting from my China-HK trip first, followed by the Chalet, then Bing's wedding (still waiting for her to pass me the photos and video). All the post-holiday-trip activities that I've had will come after. So much to blog, so little time!

1st stop: Shanghai (4th - 7th Aug)

Board a red-eye SQ flight at 1am from Singapore to Shanghai. Lovesssssss SQ flights with their wide variety of in-flight entertainment on KrisWorld! Didn't get to sleep much with all the people snoring on the plane + I'm having a movie marathon (haha). And I had the earliest breakfast ever at 5am!

We landed safely at 6+ 7am and a driver from my uncle's office came to pick us up! Much love and thanks to him coz he's the one who drove my cousin and I around for our massive shopping spree during our few days stay in Shanghai! Anyway, we look hideous without make-up. BAH!

We went for breakfast AGAIN and shopped around the vicinity where my uncle's office is while waiting for check-in to the hotel. The weather was sooooo hot that everyone (including my cousin and I) was simply standing outside air-conditioned shopping malls waiting for them to open for the day.
After check-in, we immediately set out again for lunch at Chen Huang Miao for our favourite Nan Xiang xiaolongbaos! And did I mention that the drivers in China are super skillful? They are able to navigate safely thru all the cars, motorbikes, bicycles and pedestrians. If it were me, I'd have killed at least 10 people already! *evil laughter*

The tangbaos and xiaolongbaos. I love the ones with crab roe!!! YUMMY!!!
And then it was time for dinner again before we knew it! (Haha! We just kept eating and eating.)

We had a lovely time with all our beloved friends and family at a beautiful, right-in-the-middle-of-a-garden Chinese restaurant called Xiao Nan Guo. Had a room all to ourselves!!! COZY! (: And my 12-yr-old cousin who lives in Shanghai is such a sweetheart! She's already taller than me! *gasp*
And then we were off to Xin Tian Di for a nice, relaxing wining session.

Xin Tian Di is pretty much the Clarke Quay in Shanghai. A beautiful place to wine and dine. On a different note, don't you think I look kind of spastic without much make-up in the photos? Argh!
@ Cigar Jazz Wine Bar

Although there were only the 3 of us (okay, plus the people whom we got to know there), it was sooooooo fun! We had 3 bottles of white wine throughout the night. Ermm, which means that we each drank 1 bottle. Woohoo! Btw, the lady who went with us works in my uncle's Shanghai office. She's our official tourguide everytime we go to Shanghai! (:
The band is good! (sorry that it's so dark, but they are the same people you see in the above pics.)
And guys who can play music are indeed charming. *grins*
(Shit! My blogging is now interrupted by Photobucket site maintenance! YouTube too! Shit! Be back to blog in awhile.)
(Okay, the maintenance is over and I'm back!)
The next day, we had dinner at Hyatt after our shopping!

Their buffet is super nice! Even their bread and butter are nicer than normal ones can?
And the view up there is breathtaking.

Sorry for the raindrops and slight reflection. But I believe you've got the gist of it.
And we met up with the relatives again for lunch on our 3rd day there. LOVESSSSS. (:

At Xiao Nan Guo Japanese Bbq restaurant. Their barbequed beef are superb! And the little aprons that they provide are too cute to be true! Haha.
In the ladies after lunch.

I love her so much luh!
And it was back to shopping again!

I'm so in love with Shanghai la!!! Food, shopping and everything else!!!
Sadly, all good things have to come to an end. ):

We spent the 4th and last day in Shanghai at my uncle's factory and office, as well as doing some last minute shopping.

And then we were off to Guangzhou! Haha, we were so bo liao!
(To be continued in the next entry which will be up shortly, coz I will exceed the entry size limit if I combine everything in one post.) |
